Windows Key Shortcuts

Ever wish there was a quick way to minimize everything you have open on your Windows computer?  Well there is!  The Windows Key, located between the CTRL and ALT keys on most keyboards, can quickly minimize all of your applications.  In fact, The Windows Key can do quite a bit more than just opening your Windows Start Menu.  Here are some of my favorite functions:

1.  Windows Key  =  Shows the Start Menu

2.  Windows Key + M  =  Minimizes all open windows

3.  Windows K + Shift + M  = Restores all previously open windows to how they were before you Minimized them

4.  Windows Key + E  =  Opens Windows Explorer

5.  Windows Key + F  =  Displays the Find all files dialog box

6.  Windows Key + L  =  Locks your Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7 computer

7.  Windows Key + F1  =  Displays the Windows Help menu

8.  Windows Key + Pause/Break  =  Displays the System Properties dialog box

9.  Windows Key + Tab  =  Displays a 3D view of all your open applications that you can scroll through

10.  Windows Key + R  =  Displays the Run command

And a bonus, non-Windows Key oldie but a goodie:

ALT + TAB  =  Allows you to view a simple list (non-3D view) of all your open applications that you can scroll through

Enjoy and Windows Key away!

Spring Break 2011

Well the first day of (my) Spring Break 2011 has come and gone. And I am beat! We went downtown today to go to the Dallas World Aquarium. But once we saw the line just to get in stretching halfway around the building, we opted to come back tomorrow and get in line before the aquarium opens. Let’s hope a lot of kids want to sleep in tomorrow!

Good night world!

Podcasts in iTunes 9.1

So I downloaded and installed iTunes 9.1, which supports iPad syncing. However, I quickly noticed that I can no longer do a mass selection of my podcasts and mark them all as played. I subscribe to about 85 podcasts, so this is a big deal to me.

Anybody else seeing this problem?
